Meachers Offers a Solid Foundation for Stone Imports Business EM Paving

Meachers Global Logistics has signed a major new contract with Ethan Mason Paving (EM Paving)

EM Paving, a new start up firm which imports quality decorative stone paving from India to the UK, via the port of Southampton, has awarded Meachers the contract for its shipping, warehousing and onward distribution to customers across the UK.

Subsequent to the contract being awarded, Meachers sent a delegation to visit EM Paving’s manufacturing plant in India to discuss the most efficient logistics strategy for the import of what will be potentially thousands of containers arriving each year.

Meachers will hold all EM Pavings’ UK stock, up to 5,000 pallets at any one time. In order to meet this new demand Meachers has further expanded its portfolio with the addition of a new one acre facility at its premises in Nursling, Southampton.

Founder and Managing Director of EM Paving, Mike Leeming, said: “From shipping and customs clearance, through to warehousing and UK wide distribution, Meachers provides us with a first class operation covering all our requirements.

“Meachers offers us the ability to reduce our overheads by effectively acting as our UK retail outlet and providing a service that can quickly react to inbound enquiries and deliver anywhere in the UK. It’s a great platform from which we can establish and grow our UK operations.”

Commercial Director at Meachers Global Logistics, Gary Whittle, said: “Our complete logistics service offering is a perfect fit for EM Paving and we are delighted to be working with such an innovative and forward thinking young business.”
