Warehouse Administrator – Derby

Reporting to the Depot Manager working in a small team providing warehouse (picking/FLT/stock management)  and administration (entering order details into our warehouse management system, and booking transport) duties to a key client

Location: Derby

Responsible to: Depot Manager

The Role:

Processing client orders accurately through the warehouse management systems

Picking orders – boxes up to 15kg

Despatching orders via carrier management systems

Liaising with a demanding client via email and telephone

Receiving and booking in deliveries

Inventory management- weekly stock counts and stock rotation

Re packing orders

Maintaining a clean and tidy environment

Other duties include covering warehouse and transport functions

 Skills and experience:

Previous warehouse and administration experience

WMS/Carrier management experience

Excellent customer services – must be able to build relationships internally and externally quickly

Able to multi task

Good IT skills

Good health and safety awareness

A fork lift licence (combi or counterbalance is preferable)

Own Transport

Personal Qualities:

Outgoing and friendly

Flexible in working hours and duties

Ability to work on your own initiative and within a small team

‘Can do’ attitude

Ability to think quickly and make decisions and problem solve

 Full training will be given

Hours:

Hours 40 per week, 30mins break (needs to be flexible to cover other areas of the operation, hours are between 0730-1800

Late Shift Traffic Office Administration

(Competitive Salary Dependant on Skills & Experience)

Location: Nursling, Southampton

The role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is an experienced administrator, customer facing hands on focused individual looking to join and work within our team of professional’s staff in a very busy Traffic office environment. You will need to be a highly motivated with a proactive attitude and a right first time approach with the ability to thrive in this fast paced environment. In addition to this you will need to have a very hi level of attention to detail and be PC literate with data input skills.

Key Tasks

  • Dispatching and debriefing drivers.
  • Amending the routing plan as required on a day by day basis.
  • Answering the telephone liaising directly with driver, colleagues and customers to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Investigating and problem solving.
  • Monitor empty mileage.

Person Specification:

  • Problems solving.
  • Generation of Tacho infringements.
  • Driver fines and parking infringements.
  • Controlling the Sub contractor preferred supplier data base to ensure compliance.
  • Log and Administer Insurance claims.
  • General Traffic Office Administration Support.

In order to be successful in this position you will need previous Administration experience, have a can do attitude along with the desire to succeed. You will need to be self-motivated, confident, proactive and strategic in your approach, as well as having good communication skills via all mediums written telephone computer etc.

Hours of Work:

Between 16.00hrs & 02.00hrs however you will need to be flexible with your working hours

Experienced Container Traffic Operator

(Competitive Salary Dependant on Skills & Experience)

Location: Nursling, Southampton

Responsible to: Transport Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Experienced Container Traffic Operator to join a professional operations team in Southampton to support our general haulage operations across the UK

This is a great opportunity to join a family owned business.

The Role:
Transport Planner will be routing the delivery & collection of Containers UK wide
You must ensure all road transport legislation is adhered to
Routes must be planned in line with WTD
All administration must be completed and accurate
Transport Planner will be liaising with Drivers and customers as appropriate

  • Container Transport experience preferred

  • Liaising with drivers within a busy environment, this is a constant challenge and the right candidate must have experience of this in a previous position.

  • IT skills are necessary for the day to day operation in this role

HGV Class 2 Day Driver

Location: Eastleigh

Responsible to: Transport Manager

Meacher’s are excited to be recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers, an opportunity also exists for a 7.5 tonne driver to work in a busy large distribution depot working out of Eastleigh, and the roles available are for permanent full-time positions.
Your main duties will include delivering and collecting palletised goods to and from Commercial, Retail, Manufacturing and Industrial businesses in the local area and this work can be physical, at times.

We operate Monday to Friday with the odd Sat am, start times between 05.00 am and 07.00 am & and finish times may vary according to the start times.
Drivers be required to be flexible within these times.

Applicants should have a minimum of 6 months experience and no more than six penalty points.

Full CPC and Digi Card.

Hours of Work:

48 hours Guaranteed however you will need to be flexible with your working hours.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

·Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.

Ensure with the Loader that the load is correct against the customers’ orders and documentation.

Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with customer and/or Traffic Office, and use disclaimers if necessary.

Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and printed name.

If any errors exist mark documentation accordingly and consult with Traffic Office as appropriate.

Provide excellent customer service.

Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and avoid getting over involved in discussion.      

Contact Traffic Office for assistance as required.

Carry out deliveries in a timely and safe manner.

Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law and SSOW.

Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.

Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.

Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.

Comply with fuel directives from the traffic Department.

Ensure you comply with all of the company SSOW.

Report any accidents immediately and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.

Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet and return to the traffic office.
