Meachers Global Logistics has invested almost £1/2 million in its fleet, with the introduction of 20 new trailers operating out of its Nursling headquarters
The investment is part of Meachers’ ongoing commitment to running the latest and most efficient fleet of vehicles. It comes on the back of a further multi-million pound investment last summer, which saw the introduction of 16 new tractor units and 25 new trailers.
Managing Director of Meachers Global Logistics, Stuart Terris, said: “It is important for us to continue to invest in our infrastructure, including our fleet, our people and our warehousing, as the business continues to grow, and the demands increase”.
This increased demand has also lead to Meachers securing an additional 30,000 square feet of warehouse space, at its Nursling facility in Southampton. Meachers are now one of the regions largest warehousing operators, with a total in excess of 300,000 sq ft of capacity in Southampton.
The firm now runs a fleet of more than 80 vehicles from its two strategic locations in Southampton and Derby, providing full load distribution and a next-day delivery service for any size consignment around the UK.
