Meachers Global Logistics has extended its contract for UK and Republic of Ireland distribution with Huhtamaki, one of the world’s largest packaging companies.
Gosport based Huhtamaki (UK) Ltd, manufactures plastic and paper packaging for FMCG goods, fresh foods and catering disposable markets.
The new contract will see the logistics firm manage all of Huhtamaki’s UK and ROI distribution. Meachers has worked with Huhtamaki since 2007 and developed a close working relationship with the company.
Head of Supply Chain, at Huhtamaki UK, Gary Owen, said: “Meachers has continued to provide Huhtamaki with an excellent service throughout the contract period. The company’s professional and innovative approaches to logistics were key factors in our decision and we look forward to further cementing our relationship over the next 3 years.”
