Transport Operator Container & General Haulage
Key Tasks
- Routeing/scheduling Drivers and vehicles
- Driver Supervision
- Utilising the companies resources as effectively as possible
- Liaising with customers and responding to their demands

Person Specification:
In order to be successful in this position you will need previous UK Transport experience in container movement / general haulage and have a can do attitude. You will need to be self-motivated, proactive and strategic in your approach, have good computer skills, knowledge of current legislation regarding Drivers tachograph rules and Working Time Directive and be confident in dealing with Drivers.
Key Accountabilities:
Working closely within the Traffic team and reporting to the Transport Manager you will be involved in the day-to-day planning and routing of the Company’s vehicles, drivers and sub-contractors in the most cost effective way possible, using and keeping up to date all the systems available, while ensuring the fleet is run in a legal manner delivering high quality operational performance.
Hours of Work:
Working hours between 0600hrs & 1900hrs and will need to work one Saturday in four.
