From 30 December 2025, the European Union will enforce the Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR), a landmark step toward sustainable trade and environmental responsibility. What Is Changing?
Under EU Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, companies must ensure that products sold or exported from the EU do not contribute to global deforestation or forest degradation. This initiative is part of the European Union Green Deal, supporting climate goals, biodiversity protection, and sustainable supply chains.
Which Products Are Affected?
The regulation applies to “relevant products”, including:
- Timber
- Coffee
- Cocoa
- Soy
- Palm oil
- Cattle
- Rubber
(Including derived products such as beef and paper.)
