Meachers Global Logistics Sponsors Three Flying Fish in Atlantic Rowing Challenge

Meachers Global Logistics has announced they are sponsors of the Three Flying Fish, a team of three young British rowers preparing to take on the World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic, a 3,000-mile unsupported ocean race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda, beginning in December 2025.

About the Challenge

The World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic is regarded as one of the planet’s most demanding endurance events. Participants are entirely self-sufficient as they row across the Atlantic, navigating constantly changing weather conditions and physical fatigue. The Three Flying Fish will row continuously in a two-hour-on, one-hour-off rotation, operating 24 hours a day until they complete the crossing, which is expected to take between 40 and 60 days.

Meet the Team

The crew — Rowan Dally, 21, Anna Dunk, 19, and Harry Allen, 19 — have been preparing for the challenge since early 2022. With experience spanning, lifeboat coordination, Air Cadets, coastguard rescue, and aviation training, the team has built a strong foundation of maritime, leadership, and technical skills to support their physical and endurance preparation.

With no previous rowing experience, their training has included ocean safety, including Sea Survival and navigation training with Aurora Sea School, long-distance endurance trials, and community outreach activities. They officially launched their Rannoch R45 ocean rowing boat in Burnham-on-Crouch in 2024 after completing its custom wrap and have since carried out extensive sea trials and cold-weather testing to simulate the conditions they will face during the race.

Our Support

Meachers are proud to sponsor The Three Flying Fish as part of its commitment to youth development, endurance challenges, and community-driven initiatives. “This challenge reflects the very essence of logistics — preparation, endurance, and precision,” said Gary Whittle, Operations Director, Meachers Global Logistics. “We’re delighted to support the team as they take on this extraordinary test of planning, teamwork, and resilience.”

The Three Flying Fish added, “We are so grateful for the support from Meachers. Without them and all our other partners, we would not be able to complete our mission to inspire the youth! The whole Meachers team have been amazing to work with.”

Fundraising and Awareness

The team is raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the UK’s only charity dedicated to providing specialist care and support for young people with cancer. Donations, race updates, and live tracking information will be available throughout the challenge at www.thethreeflyingfish.com
