Meachers and ABP Executives Appointed to Lead UKWA

Meachers Global Logistics is proud to announce that Gary Whittle, the company’s Operations Director, has been appointed Chairman of the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA), the leading trade organisation for the warehousing in the United Kingdom.

Strategic Vision for UKWA

Gary succeeds Mike Thomas, who has retired from the role, and steps up from his previous position as Vice Chair of the UKWA board. His appointment was confirmed at the UKWA Annual General Meeting held on 9 July.

With nearly four decades of experience in the logistics industry, Gary has held a variety of senior operational and commercial roles. His leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in shaping Meachers’ success and reputation as a trusted logistics partner.

UKWA Board Experience and Industry Expertise

Gary has served on the UKWA management board since 2010 and has been Vice Chair for the past two years. His extensive industry knowledge and commitment to excellence make him ideally suited to lead the Association at a time of rapid change and opportunity for the sector.
