Class 2 Day Driver – Palletways Network – Fair Oak

This vacancy is located at our Fair Oak Depot and is a fantastic opportunity to work for a major Haulage company. Meachers is one of the leading independent logistics providing transport services in the UK via The Palletways Network.

Skills and experience

• Class 2 license
• Be great at working within time limits.
• Have strong attention to detail and able to deliver goods safely and following pallet network procedures.
• Good IT skills utilising latest mobile technology
• Following correct load securing procedures, ensuring compliance
• Keeping compliant with all DVSA laws.
• Tail-lift experience desirable.
• Strong communication with office with any issues or delays.
• Local knowledge of Southampton desirable.

Hours of work

• Day Shift – Hours between 07:00 and 18:00
• 48-Hrs Basic week
• Saturday mornings – Rota basis 1 in 7

Pay scale 2 – CLASS 2 DRIVERS  

• Basic Rate                           £14.40 per hour
• Overtime                              £16.10 per hour
• Basic 48-hours                    £691.20 per week
• Saturday                               £16.10 (Min 4 hours)
• Sunday                                 £21.40 per hour (Min 5 ½ hours)
