*****Drivers in Derby*****

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a major Haulage company based in Derby, Meacher’s is one of the leading independent logistics providers of international freight and transport services in the UK. We are currently looking for quality and reliable drivers with a minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience.

Your application is important to us and if selected will arrange for you to meet the transport manager at the relevant depot (based on your location) and you will be invited to take an assessment.

Whether you are a relatively new driver or you are a long standing experienced driver, as long as you have the relevant skills and licences all drivers are welcome to apply for these roles.

Excellent communication skills and fluent in English is required as you will be in constant communication with our clients customers and also other members of internal teams, it is essential you have the ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism at all times under any circumstance both internally or externally. You must hold a British driving license, a valid CPC and Digi card and have no more than 6 points on your license with no previous DR or DD endorsements.

Weekend working / Overtime available

Must have had a Class 1 licence for 6 months

Administration / Customer Service / Traffic Office

For over 50 years, the company has built an enviable reputation by providing customers with complete solutions to their Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, UK Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics and Contract Management.

The role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is an experienced customer, facing hands on focused individual to join and work within our team of professional’s staff in a very busy Traffic office environment. You will need to be a highly motivated with a proactive attitude and right first time approach with the ability to thrive in this fast paced environment. In addition to this you will need to have with strong administration skills, a very hi level of attention to detail, be PC literate with data input skills.

Key Tasks

  • Answering the telephone liaising directly with customer and colleagues to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Dealing with complaints, investigating and solving customers’ problems, which may be complex or long-standing problems.
  • Managing Fuel cards
  • Driver fines and parking infringements
  • Controlling the Sub contractor preferred supplier data base to ensure compliance
  • Log and Administer Insurance claims
  • Finding ways to measure customer satisfaction and improve services.
  • Generate reports and analysing statistics or other data to determine the level of customer service the organisation is providing.
  • General Office Administration Support
  • Identify and recommend improvements to current processes

Person Specification:

In order to be successful in this position you will need previous Administration and Customer Service experience, have a can do attitude along with the desire to succeed. You will need to be self-motivated, confident, proactive and strategic in your approach, as well as have good communication skills via all mediums written telephone computer ect.

Hours of Work:

Between 07.00hrs & 17.00hrs however you will need to be flexible with your working hours
